Verdict
Vineyard is given the vote to complete the hat-trick here at the main expense of Riqaab and Bowder Stone. William Haggas continues in fine form and after an excellent Goodwood, Vineyard can continue that streak. He has taken his last two starts and has proven that this trip is within his range. Bowder Stone is consistent but his record shouts a place once again, so of more interest may be Riqaab. Ed Dunlop¿s colt comes here on the back of a good win at Yarmouth but that was a weak race in a small field and this will demand more, especially as he is unproven on softish ground. Joinedupwriting and Doon Haymer are both fairly consistent but tend to lack a finishing effort, whilst The Last Bottle is not one to take lightly as whilst he is yet to win, this mark of 61 is the lowest for a while. Not an easy getting-out stakes, but Vineyard can complete the hat-trick.
