    Verdict

Sporting Gesture goes well on this tricky course and can get the better of Ben Hur and Sualda. MIck Easterby's seven-year-old comes here in great form having chased home Jack Of Trumps and Rajam at York last time. He took time to get into top gear in that event and was also inclined to hang to his left, he finished with a flourish, but the post was always coming a fraction too soon. If he can focus throughout this event he will be difficult to beat. Ben Hur is having quite a successful campaign, winning here at at Ayr. However you do have to take his stamina on trust as he has never raced over this trip before. Aleron may prove best of the remainder, but Sporting Gesture does appear to have the best recent form and he gets our vote.
