A poor turnout for this valuable handicap, which should fall to High Action, with Thewhirlingdervish looking booked for second and Coup de Chance for third. The selection was most impressive when winning at Newmarket last Sunday, he travelled strongly behind the leaders and had the race sewn up when sailing into the lead two furlongs out. The winning margin of five lengths wasn't a true indication of his superiority over Dovedon Hero, and another victory looks on the cards. Thewhirlingdervish put up a brave performance at Ascot last time when going down by a couple of necks to Dorothy's Friend and Random Quest. He will make High Action fight all the way this afternoon. The final runner is Coup de Chance who is stepping up markedly in trip and may struggle against these two dour stayers, the best of which should be High Action.
