A competitive race for the money and one where the tentative selection is TRANSFER, with Parc Des Princes, Recalcitrant and King Zeal among the dangers. The Charlie Morlock-trained pick has slipped to a career-low mark of 60 for this handicap, while he is also dropped in trip to what is perhaps a more suitable 10f. Both runs this season have given hope that his next win is not that far away and we hope that he can act on the fast ground and come up trumps. Parc Des Princes was runner-up over this trip at Bath and has won over further, so David Probert is likely to try and make this into a genuine test on a course that suits that style of running. His chance is much respected. Recalcitrant wants rattling fast ground and conditions are not much different to that, so he should be closely involved, while King Zeal is chasing a hat-trick after successive Nottingham wins. He has gone up 10lbs for the most recent of those and will do well to defy that sort of rise. Finzi Contini would be interesting if backed but has plenty to prove on the going and Transfer gets the nod.
