A moderate contest at best can be taken by BERMONDSEY BOB, while Blue Aura and Cwmni may prove the biggest dangers. Our pick is not one to be lumping on but he has managed to win two of his 19 starts, which is not a bad strike rate. He handles these conditions very well and went very close at Brighton last time, and he can hopefully gain reward for an unusually consistent record for one in this grade. Blue Aura won over course and distance on good going last time and now has to carry 6lbs extra. However, in such an open affair he is not ruled out from enhancing trainer Brendan Powell's good recent record. Cwmni would be a welcome Welsh winner for Bryn Palling with David Probert up, but she just looks to have a little bit too much weight and may have to settle for the frame. The same applies to topweight Plumage, who relishes today's ground and should show up well, while it would be no surprise to see a better effort back here from Milton Bradley's Emiratesdotcom. Stamford Blue is another with the potential to win this if able to produce his best on the night, and although none of his four previous course wins were on fast ground, he has scored on it elsewhere. Even so, we will oppose him and the others with Bermondsey Bob.
