    Verdict

GOOD OMEN (NAP), withdrawn from his previous engagement, has strong claims after showing plenty of dash on his Ascot debut when runner-up to Paulownia. Supported into favouritism for that debut run, he's clearly held in some regard and can go one better for a yard that continues in good heart. Mashadie Boy, also made favourite for his debut at Chelmsford, ran green and didn't really get the run of the race either. He should benefit from the experience and produce an improved showing along with Percy Thrower, although the latter will need to improve on his latest effort. The main threat could be Hushood, who posted a debut of considerable promise for a Hannon team whose juveniles invariably progress from their initial run.
