In depth

Verdict

About as competitive as today's card gets and Trompette is given another chance from Sabbiosa, Maystock, and Desert Island Disc. The selection finished just over a length behind Maystock conceding him 3lb at Salisbury last time and got going a little too late on that occasion. He is aided by a 1lb pull here, loves bottomless ground and with better luck in running looks the one to be on. Maystock clearly won't be far away and is should again be up to running into a place as one suited by cut. Sabbiosa is another who loves to get here toe in. This is her optimum trip and she is still improving so can't be discounted, though the ground has gone against Desert Island Disc who doesn't look a winner today. But Trompette is a useful sort from a yard who does well with its few flat runners and can score.
