Verdict

The pair at the bottom, Trixster and BOBALOT, are course and distance winners and the latter is only six and back on the same mark as when successful in October so gets the nod in a wide-open event. At the other end of the weights, Ballymagroarty Boy is an ultra-consistent handicapper who was only beaten a short-head at Exeter though a 1-28 strike-rate is off-putting. Equinus is lightly-raced and capable of progress as is Bangor winner Betterforeveryone, who was in touch when falling two out at Plumpton last time. Exeter winner Halifax was a bit out of his depth in a Haydock Class 2 but has a chance on that earlier victory.
