Verdict

Zambezi Fix won over the course and distance in February but has struggled in subsequent starts but the four-year-old Shared won two of his first four starts over timber before well beaten in the Grade 3 Boodles at Cheltenham. SOUL ICON (NAP) won seven out of eight on quick ground over timber and was returning after a long break in a Class 2 handicap at Aintree a fortnight ago where he couldn't handle soft going. Back on his favoured surface, he can return to winning ways as Hardy Du Seuil, a winner on soft going at Sandown in January, would prefer more give. Deere Mark was taking on stronger opposition on his hat-trick bid and has to be respected.
