Coup d'Etat can defy a penalty at the expense of Celtic Spa, Im Ova Ere Dad, Out For A Stroll and One Giant Leap. This is another fairly wide open affair, and the selection has to give weight away all round after his return to form at Leicester last week. However, even with a penalty he is still better handicapped than two years ago, and in the belief that jockey Richard Kingscote will be able to cover him up in this big field, the five-year-old is selected to follow up. Celtic Spa in contrast to the selection, is having a battle with the handicapper at present, but he ran well at Bath so cannot be discounted. Im Ova Ere Dad is lightly raced this year, and came to hand at Kempton so may go well despite being upped in grade, while Out For a Stroll bounced right back from a poor run 24-hours earlier at Brighton to win well at Yarmouth 12-days ago. One Giant Leap has scope but is not guaranteed to stay a mile, and so we return to Coup d'Etat as the pick.
