Verdict

Light N Strike found only one too good at Newton Abbot three weeks ago and Mozzaro had shown promise four weeks earlier at Uttoxeter. Flying Sara won at Taunton last autumn but has a penalty to carry against the geldings. Honorary Colonel looks a promising type on paper but it’s likely that Rideau Canal will need a bit further. Famoso is a half-brother to the useful Tornado Flyer and cost €175,000 but the Yeats gelding THE BOMBER LISTON may have a bit more pace. He is out of a mare that won on the Flat and over hurdles and she has already produced a bumper winner.
