Roger Varian is not the most frequent of visitors here and SIR WINSTON is his sole runner on the card. The gelding is clearly seen as being ideally suited to this intermediate trip and was going on strongly at Brighton last time when posting a first career success. He's only had three runs on turf and better can be expected on that latest evidence, He holds Little Boy Blue on the Brighton form and course and distance winner, Macs Dilemma, is viewed as a more dangerous rival after shaping well here last time and the extra furlong should suit. Winforglory and Liangel Hope can also make a stand with the latter preferred of the pair, but Iconic Knight and Flatley may need the run as they return from absences of 285 and 233 days respectively.
