SAVALAS plunged down the ratings from a mark of 72 at the start of 2022 to just 48 last month. Having shown little this year, he was then supported into 9/2 and delivered dramatic improvement to run down Jacquelina at Bath. He was due to run at the latter yesterday but gets the vote if taking his chance. Redredrobin, a dual course winner, has now landed three of her last five, including her last two. She's not been dealt a harsh hand by the handicapper and it can be dangerous to ignore the claims of a sprinter in form. Connie's Rose and Port Noir are worthy of consideration and Thegreatestshowman has to merit a mention. He's dropped quite alarmingly from a mark of 81 a year ago to a current 53, so any sort of form recovery would surely see him involved.
