Mickey Pearce and The Wife's Sister are closely matched on recent form and are entitled to be thereabouts in this company but preference is for Cullian, who is taken to resume winning ways. The selection was good value for his win in a non-handicap seller at Towcester two starts ago and lost nothing in defeat in a claimer at Bangor last time on unsuitably soft ground; back on a faster surface today, he looks worth a bet in a moderate contest. Lazy Lena gave little sign for encouragement on her recent return from a break, while Irish Blessing has disappointed in two starts since winning at Leicester in January. Little Rort is hard to recommend on recent form and of more interest may be Breezer, who comes from a stable that is beginning to find their form so he may be better than recent form suggests. Sir Walter is another worthy of a mention but preference is for Cullian, who is taken to resume winning ways.
Cullian 8-1 (11-2) Held up mid-division, outpaced 5th, stayed on from last, took 3rd post, no impression, 3rd of 11, 23l behind Mezereon (10-13) at Bangor 2m 1f mrs clm hdl (5) gs in Mar.
