    Verdict

This is probably the most competitive contest on today’s card but FIELDSMAN has been a revelation since switching back to Turf and, after beating Incentive here 10 days ago, bolted up at Lingfield three days later. Elisha Whittington’s claim helps with the double penalty and a hat-trick beckons. Sir Plato has been in good form over a mile but the drop back to 7f is a worry whereas Gilt Edge steps up in trip on his return to action. Newbury third Madame Tantzy has place claims again and looks best of the rest.
