Verdict
AL SALT won on this surface at Newcastle last month when beating the odds-on favourite and subsequent winner Tilsit. Rated 85, the Haggas charge looks the one to beat and can defy a penalty. Wightman has plenty to find on these terms and the returning Machios may prove a bigger threat on last year’s fourth at Salisbury. Of the newcomers, Prize Fighting is a brother to a Group 3 winner among others and preferred to Stay Calm and the latter’s stablemate Byford.
