    In depth

    Verdict

The quality on offer is reflected by Crystal Monarch being asked to concede weight all round for the Cecil team. He's been beaten an aggregate of 84 lengths in three starts to date though it is unusual for the yard to retain such sorts as four-year-olds so maybe there is more to come. However, PARTY PALACE has proved a good dual purpose horse for Stuart Howe over the past year and makes greater appeal after completing a hurdling hat-trick of late on good ground or quicker. He's clearly in great heart and is taken to translate that much-improved form over timber to the level. Acapulco Bay, another useful dual purpose performer in good form, is respected along with Minstrel Lad.
