PIAZZA SAN PIETRO is selected with Capo Regime and Autumn Morning others to make the shortlist. Andy Haynes looks to have his hands full with this character as having ran well as a juvenile, he was awarded a lofty mark. Beaten by inches in two recent starts, it remains to be seen as to whether Neil Callan can persuade him into the idea of winning. Capo Regime has a little to do on the book but the long journey from North Yorkshire will seem longer still if he does not win. Autumn Morning is dropped back to seven furlongs having raced over further. The visor is reached for in hope. Trip Switch ran a stinker in the blinkers and they are quickly dispensed with. Midnight Bay was tailed off at Lingfield at the end of May and there was little to write home about next time out. Spring Secret was beaten in a weaker seller than this and there is more to do this evening. Not a race that will live too long in the memory and for the winner, we return to Piazza San Pietro.
