In depth

Verdict

GARDE VILLE won a match at Sandon under the late Lorna Brooke in between victories at Ludlow. He’s clearly at the top of his game at present and gets a narrow vote in what looks a fairly competitive contest. Flintham was the only finisher on his debut between the flags at Revesby Park but there are possibilities about the former Nicky Henderson inmate Sugar Baron and Monbeg Chit Chat, who won races for Henry De Bromhead. Fifty Shades beat Coco Live in a Mixed Open at Cothelstone earlier this month and looks the pick of the remainder.
