In depth

Verdict

Will Biddick runs two in this with Hotel Du Nord preferred to Definite Dilemma, who struggles to get his head in front. BENEFAKTOR (NAP) could give champion point-to-point trainer Tom Ellis a quick double. Ridden by his wife Gina Andrews, the eight-year-old has been a rising star among the pointing ranks and looks every inch a stayer. Alan Hill has had plenty of winners at this meeting down the years so Getting Closer is respected with Izzie Marshall claiming 7lb with recent Dingley winner Hadmeathello preferred to Ryans Fancy of the others.
