In depth

Verdict

Geordie Des Champs and Jersey Wonder are very closely matched on their 1-2 at Ffos Las in June. Shannon Bridge ended last season with wins at Wetherby and Ascot but he’ll do better when the going eases. Push The Tempo beat an in-form rival at Worcester last month while Macgiloney will be happy to be back over hurdles but he has something to find on the form book with TULLYBEG (NAP), who had the form of his latest victory at Gowran franked when the runner-up went one better over fences next time in convincing fashion. Haul Away has won four of his last six but often comes up short at this level and Butler's Brief, on a four-timer, steps up two grades.
