In depth

Verdict

A very competitive handicap to unravel as most, as is the case throughout the card, can be given a chance. Ask Dillon finished a respectable sixth in the Pertemps Final at the festival last month but does face a tough task at the weights and we'll look elsewhere. Storm Goddess can usually be relied upon to run her race and should be in the mix once again, whilst Trincomalee appreciated the step-up in trip last time despite a far from smooth round at Plumpton. Welsh Saint is interesting back over hurdles, whilst Encore Champs and Aaron Lad arrive on the back of a single run this term and should be fresh to the challenge. However, THE DOMINO EFFECT comes here relatively unexposed, stays this trip well and can progress further on the back of a smooth Chepstow win.
