In depth

Verdict

Plenty of in-form sorts and THE DEVILS DROP is a somewhat tentative suggestion. Alan King's gelding has taken time to find his form after a near-800 day absence but a repeat of his recent runner-up effort behind Mac Tottie at Newbury over a two-furlong shorter trip would see him in the mix. He is lightly-raced over fences and is accordingly open to improvement over the larger obstacles. Dangers abound with the consistent Jersey Bean and last-time scorer, Oski, dangerous at the head of the weights, and the unexposed and promising Eaglehill very much of note off joint bottomweight. Accordingtogino and Benevolentdictator also arrive in decent form.
