Verdict

Dargel remains 8lb higher than when completing a double during the summer while Jabalaly’s earlier success at Kempton came over 7f. Arigato drops down a grade and makes more appeal than recent placed horses Balladeer and Yusra but a couple of these have more scope than the rest. Reine De Vitesse landed a maiden at Lingfield earlier in the month and can figure but BARDO CONTIGUO (NAP) made a winning start in handicaps when scoring at Ayr last month, despite running into trouble. Roger Varian’s charge would have won by a wider margin with a clear run and looks capable of better still.
