Verdict

Champagne Noir was bought by Trevor Hemmings after a promising run in a maiden point at Boulta last December. He will be expected to win races but may find one too good here in OVERTHETOP (NAP). Olly Murphy’s charge has already won a point and a bumper and the latter form has been franked – the champion takes over the reins. Order Of Thistle won a Sedgefield bumper at the start of the month but that form hasn’t worked out as well and it’s more than a year since veteran chaser Boric last saw a racecourse. New Frontier is having a first-ever run but represents a combination that gets plenty of winners.
