Strike West finished second here in March and again over a much longer trip at Sedgefield on his final start last season. A past course and distance winner, it will be a surprise if Micky Hammond’s charge is not ion the firing-line again but NOT THE CHABLIS could offer more value. Though still a maiden, the latter is worth another try over this longer trip having disappointed at Perth in April. Craig Star has no fitness issues but is on a long losing run. Grand Enterprise often flatters to deceive and Hot Gossip is likely to need this.
