Verdict

This looks a very hot contest, despite there being only five runners. There is a possibility that Good Boy Bobby and The Some Dance Kid will take each other on for the lead. The former is the only course winner in the line-up but, like Donald McCain’s charge would probably not have lived with the other three over timber. GLOBAL CITIZEN can race keenly but did win a Listed handicap at Newbury last season and also a Grade 2 at Haydock. If his energies are channelled in the right direction, he should take all the beating as though Midnight Shadow also won a Grade 2 over hurdles last season he probably needs further. Brewin'upastorm also had form at the highest level as a novice hurdler and won’t be far away with a clear round.
