It’s tempting to give Animal Instinct another chance having gone close over track and trip before finding one too good at Southwell last time. But DAYSAQ made a promising start when only beaten a length at Wolverhampton, with the re-opposing Abnaa well behind, and it’s no surprise that Jim Crowley prefers the former on that form with Owen Burrows’ yard in such good form. Karibana has also shown ability, placing in both starts so far, and Aberffraw is a likely improver while maiden winner Modern British Art sets a decent standard with a handicap mark of 80 but is penalised back at this level. Lyric Gold and Greycoat are newcomers to note.
