It could pay to stick with FUTURISTIC despite carrying 6lb extra for winning over 6f at Newcastle on his handicap debut. James Tate’s colt returned a cosy winner on that occasion and this extra furlong is not a problem. It remains to been seen if the penalised Awa Bomba can carry over his winning form on the Fibresand at Southwell to this faster surface but Self Assessment is not badly treated on his best recent efforts and Final Frontier also has a shout. Keepup Kevin is proving best at Beverley while Penrhos has undergone recent wind surgery and is fitted with a tongue-tie on his first start since August.
