In depth

Verdict

ATHERS (NAP) took advantage of a slide down the weights to win over track and trip. He’s 7lb higher today but drops down a grade and can go in again. Meisterzinger also won here last month on his debut for new connections and there may be more to come while Western Beat went close over a longer trip at Wolverhampton. Captain St Lucifer placed at Beverley last time and Eaglesglen was beaten only a length at Kempton so they could also go well.
