In depth

Verdict

Karibana won over track and trip having slipped down the weights but Leicester winner Melody Of Life failed to cope with a 5lb rise last time. Inigo Jones returned a beaten favourite when dropped down to today’s trip at Sandown while Liberation Point’s recent win came in a claimer at Chester. Excel Power looks high enough in the weights but BOWLAND PARK (NAP) finished a close-up fourth in Class 2 company at Newcastle last time and should make a bold bid in this lower grade.
