      Verdict

      The Juliet Rose ran well for third in the Group 1 Prix Vermeille here last time behind Left Hand. She had earlier finished ahead of Sotteville and Impressionist when runner-up at Deauville and should make another bold bid. The latter had earlier beaten Mango Tango and Gambissara when going close at Saint-Cloud but ALMELA makes most appeal. Dermot Weld’s filly was having only her second start of the year when winning a Listed contest at Galway with the minimum of fuss and looks capable of taking this step up in class in her stride.
