        Verdict

        Never Surrender was beaten less than a length when fourth at Doncaster last time behind a winner trained by John Gosden. That should give the latter a good line on the form and he runs VIA EGNATIA, who steps up in distance after a modest effort over 6f at Newbury in July and may prove good enough. Newcomers to note include Pivoine and Moon Idol though Ralph Beckett and Luca Cumani complicate matters by running two each with Winkle Brown and Bedouin preferred of their respective charges.
