If any horse deserves to win another race it is Ryedane and Tim Easterby's charge gets our vote today ahead of Hazlehurst and Inca Soldier. This consistent five-year-old makes a quick return to the track having finished a close second to Plateau at Redcar on Saturday night. He doesn't have much of a turn of foot but is as genuine as they come and hopefully he can grind out a victory today. The selection may be vulnerable to a horse with a good finishing kick and so Hazlehurst has to be a big danger. After starting slowly last time out, he came with a late rattle to beat Danish Blue. He has been raised five pounds for that win but should still be in the shake up. Inca Soldier looks the best of the rest having been successful at Redcar earlier this month, before running well over a furlong further here at Catterick. However we are hoping that Ryedane can hold the late surge of Hazelhust and stop a long losing run.
