    Verdict

Just the five runners but still not the easiest of races to solve with every one of the quintet having claims. After two disappointing starts following a lay off Minster Glory has slipped to an attractive mark of 115, some 12lbs lower than when chasing home Turgeonev on his previous outing in December 2001. The Peter Beaumont-trained Sharpastrizam has been dropped 4lbs since the start of the campaign but has yet to show anything like the form that saw him win four races last term. Micky Hammond's Elvis Reigns has shown little sign of encouragement this term and has had very little assistance from the handicapper, a comment that also applies to Risky Way. The selection then is Tony Carroll's Kind Sir. The son of Generous has shown progressive form this term with two victories at Hereford followed by further successes at Leicester and Catterick. Although he has failed to sparkle on his last two outings, they have been over 2m4f and the return to two miles may bring about a change in fortune for the seven-year-old.
