Bill Turner's Ede'Iff has been in good form recently, winning three from her last four starts, but they have been in plating company and this represents a step up in class for the daughter of Tragic Role. Topweight Witch's Brew has been knocking on the door in novice company of late and has claims in a handicap for the first time but, in receipt of 1lb, the selection is Ferdy Murphy's Ragu. A half-length second to St Matthew at Sedgefield earlier this month was proceeded by a creditable third to the useful Glenmoss Tara and a reproduction of those efforts should be good enough here. Romany Hill disappointed over the larger obstacles last time but has claims off just a 5lb higher mark than when scoring in an amateur riders' handicap hurdle the time before, while course and distance winner True Rose and Kelso scorer Lady Stratagem are open to improvement after just two starts over hurdles.
