Verdict

A cracking contest to get the meeting underway and Palarshan is taken to lose his maiden tag over fences. Henry Daly's five-year-old has faced some stiff tasks since switching his attention to chasing, tackling some of the best novice's around. This represents a drop in class for him and he should make no mistake. Although his record says otherwise, Jericho III is basically a sound jumper. He went off far too quickly at Huntingdon last time and just overjumped, he was going so fast. However, he had jumped soundly when winning over course and distance prior to that effort and must go well here, although he does face a difficult task trying to give the weight to Palarshan. Former eventer Captains Table wasn't disgraced behind subsequent winner Isio at Doncaster, but he looks to face a difficult task again and third place looks the best he can hope for.
