Verdict

Lord Maizey is a grand big chasing type and certainly impressed when winning here earlier in the month. This trip should suit and it would be dangerous to underestimate him. However, he faces a more than useful rival in the shape of Irish Hussar, who gets the nod. Nicky Henderson's seven-year-old impressed when beating subsequent winner Ask Henry before Christmas, and would have certainly stepped up on that effort had he not fallen at the second last at Cheltenham. Providing that fall hasn't dented his confidence, he can prove too strong for his rivals. Jacklighte Bellevue is much better than he has shown so far and we should improvement from him now that he steps up in trip.
