Another moderate but competitive event with 18 to choose from. Copplestone was weakening when unseating his rider last time but earlier form here and at Newcastle would give the son of Second Set every chance, as has No Sam No who similarly disappointed on his most recent outing after a couple of better performances. Mary Reveley's Highbank has slipped to an attractive mark but has given very little sign of encouragement from recent displays, while it is probably unwise to take the form of Captain O'Neill's recent improved effort at Chepstow too literally. Topweight San Peire has claims dropped into this grade, as does the well treated Brush A King but the selection just goes to Just For Ger. Jim Goldie's ex-Irish gelding ran over fences last term but made a satisfactory return to hurdling when a never dangerous eighth behind stablemate Jallastep at Ayr in December. Entitled to strip fitter for the outing, he would need to find a great deal more to take a hand in a race as weak as this.
