AMIR PASHA can reverse form with Drop The Hammer and also account for Maneki Neko. Micky Hammond has his string in red hot form at present and while Amir Pasha had to settle for second best at Redcar, at the revised terms and on this very different track, we believe that he can gain his revenge in the nightcap. Drop The Hammer was certainly not unbacked on that occasion and he has been one of a number of recent successes for the rookie handler, David O'Meara. There could conceivably be more success to come. Maneki Neko is better known under National Hunt rules though he has exhibited ability on the flat when there are genuinely fast ground conditions. Daytime Dreamer has won over 1m4f when trained in Ireland though has cut little ice since joining Martin Todhunter. Without Equal has yet to trouble the judge in 11 starts. She probably found two miles on the testing side at Thirsk but will be more at home over this trip. Having considered the alternatives, Amir Pasha is the percentage bet.
