    Verdict

Brian Ellison's yard remains in good form and GERRY THE GLOVER (NAP) may be up to making a winning reappearance. He went close in a Class 2 handicap at Ayr in September off today's mark. Lavetta has the more recent form with a second at Redcar but that came in a lowly Class 5 contest while Fullon Clarets will need to step up on his comeback fifth at Doncaster to get involved. Comino ended last season with a 6f victory at the track but is a course and distance winner while Arnold Lane scored over track and trip last year but is 6lb higher. Steel Train is not badly weighted though last year's win at Thirsk came on fast going.
