Bartra Rock has not always looked the easiest of rides but battled well when outstaying his nearest rival at Redcar last time so it is surprising to see him being dropped in trip today and preference is for the hat-trick seeking Zalimar, who gets the vote ahead of Asaateel. The selection is progressing rapidly and there may well be more to come from Luca Cumani's filly, who will not mind the return to 1m4f. Richard Fahey's Plenty Cried Wolf receives weight all round and has to be respected along with James Bethell's Stretton, who has slipped to a fair mark but is unproven over this far. Prairie Sun has had a good season but could probably do with some help from the handicapper now and a bigger threat is likely to come from Asaateel, who is unexposed over this trip and could well improve further. Zalimar has done little wrong of late though and she is taken to score again.
