Verdict

Batavir, three times a winner over hurdles, hasn't shown much in two starts over fences and may need more experience. Rolling Thunder won a Musselburgh handicap on New Year's Day but ran poorly at Bangor three weeks later and is tried in blinkers. Powerful Symbol won a point just over a year ago and though not showing much over hurdles is much more likely to make a chaser and starts out on a lowly mark. MILLY BALOO ran a shocker at Kelso last time though the very testing conditions may have found her out. She had done better in her previous starts and looks on a tempting mark for this.
