Verdict
Cindertrack looks ahead of the handicapper judged on his last outing and can take this from First Approval, Viva Volta and Sir Orpen. The selection was an easy five length scorer in a similar contest on firm grond at Brighton last week and carries a 6lb here. However, the manner of that success suggests that he still has a fair bit in hand despite topweight here and he gets a confident vote. First Approval is respected from the still-in-form yard of Barry Hills. A head winner from Lucksin at Thirsk last time, she will need to be at least as good as that again to trouble the selection and with improvement at this stage appearing less obvious, she is opposed here. Viva Volta has gone up 4lb for a narrow Newcastle defeat which will make this particularly tough, while course and distance winner Sir Orpen looks a serious threat from 4lb lower than that success in May and is very much respected. However, Cindertrack stood out at Brighton and can follow up.
