Trickstep is from an interesting yard and should be watched in the market, however one with more solid claims is King Forever, with United Spirit also expected to go well. The selection has been running reasonably well over much shorter trips, but on breeding there is no doubt he should be much better over this sort of distance. The dam is a daughter of Slip Anchor and so there is plenty of stamina in the pedigree and ion this weak contest he could be worth a small interest. Trickstep, a winner over the jumps last year , returns to the flat at a pretty poor level and it would be no surprise to see this one go close for McCain junior. United Spirit ran a decent fourth last time behind Awaken at Hamilton, and the booking of Paul Hanagan certainly catches the eye. All in all a race to be cautious, but King Forever could be the one to spring a surprise.
