This may not be as competitive as the numbers suggest with the bottom four runners all out of the weights proper and having seemingly failed to stay the extended 2m5f at Pontefract last time Rule For Ever looks worth another chance and gets the vote ahead of Gala Casino King and Rocknest Island. The last mentioned was good value for her win at Wolverhampton last time and has to be respected off just a 5lb higher mark today but the return to turf may not help and she looks best watched. Onyergo has claims on the pick of his form but has yet to prove his effectiveness over this far, while Mulligan's Pride is capable but inconsistent. Columbus has been well held in recent starts over hurdles and a bigger threat may come from lightly raced stablemate Gala Casino King, who could be of interest if staying this far. Rule For Ever was going well turning for home until failing to stay the extended distance at Pontefract and he looks worth another chance.
