With the Stoute stable in decent form now, Classical World is selected to gain the day over newcomers Miesko and Royal Applord. Nothing catches the eye among most of those that have raced so far, apart from Classical World who showed good speed until well past halfway on his Newmarket debut 17-days ago. That was over six-furlongs, and on breeding he will be seen to much better effect over further. With the team in fair form now, he must surely improve. Miesko will do well over longer trips as well next year, but is sure to have been well galloped, while Kevin Ryan's juveniles must never be dismissed out of hand, and with Neil Callan booked, Royal Applord also enters calculations. The son of Royal Applause is entered for a couple of decent contests this autumn, including the Two-Year-Old Trophy at Redcar. Any support for him today should be seriously heeded, but our allegiance lies with Classical World.
