SCARAB could be hard to pass whilst the frustrating West With The Wind cannot be ruled out given the best of his form and nor can Alan Swinbank's bumper and hurdling winner Programme Girl. West With The Wind has been held in high regard by Tom Tate and a maiden win should be a formality on the best of his form but he was turned over at odds-on on his penultimate start and isn't certain to be suited by this tight track. Programme Girl has won six of her nine starts in bumpers and over hurdles and Alan Swinbank has successfully switched codes with his National Hunt performers on a number of occasions. The market is likely to be the best guide to her chances. Mark Johnston's string continue to win their share of races and the selection stepped up considerably on his debut form when making the frame behind Red Jade at Nottingham. He still looked a little green there but Scarab can continue his education by taking first prize here.
