The consistent Lucky Beggar went up 7lb for an easy victory on soft ground at Thirsk in May and has been unable to add to his total of eight victories from his raised mark. Morty went up the same amount for his success on fast ground at Ripon where he was also engaged yesterday. The three-year-old FOSSOS has done all of his racing on fast going, just getting up at Redcar last month. He's only been raised 2lb so gets the nod in the hope he acts in the conditions. The veteran Star Citizen has dropped to his lowest ever mark and both career victories have come on soft going.
