Verdict

SCOTTISH DANCER displayed great resolve to land a competitive two-miler at Chester last weekend and can defy his 5lb penalty in what rates a weaker affair. He did have a tough race that day but connections clearly feel he's ready to go into battle again. He has yet to operate on ground with firm in the description but the ground was good on the Roodeye and he's taken to follow up. Turner Girl, a course and distance winner, runs off the same mark as when scoring here in August. She hasn't obliged since but continues to perform with credit and rates a live danger. Heatherdown Hero and Eye Knee have yet to catch fire since moving to new yards and therefore Lord Torranaga completes the shortlist as a course and distance winner who has tumbled to quite an appealing mark.
